Legacy music brands Warner Music Group, Sony Music, and Universal Music Group have sued Suno.ai and Udio for their unethical approach towards AI-powered music generation. The legacy brands have challenged widespread infringement of copyrighted music at scale. The major labels have expressed concerns over AI startups Suno and Udio unlawfully scraping their recordings to train AI models.
AI music generators are supposed to be an extra arm for content creators. They are not supposed to infringe musician’s rights. We at Beatoven.ai have voiced our concerns over this unethical outlook towards music creation for quite some time now.
After three years in this space and empowering over one million content creators, we can proudly say that the foundation of our AI model has always been respecting musicians’ and compensating them fairly. We have also been certified by FairlyTrained for our efforts to create original music without compromising musicians’ rights.
